You can never know how good next years opponents will be until you play them, but the NYG should be awful again. I expect Dallas, Philly and Washington to be good next year. I fully plan on going to the Giants game, with Giant fans!!!

@evolz3737 maybe I’ll meet ya there!

I saw Rivers beat the Giants in one of the last games played at the old Meadowlands stadium. VJ caught the winning TD right below us.

Speaking of next season….  I do not see Minter getting any interview requests thus far.  If the Chargers can beat the Texans Saturday , that will help keep Minter out of the coaching discussions

@kevdiego I still think he is a year or two away from serious HC considerations. After all, we have seen first hand what happens when you blow your load hiring a 1 year defensive wunderkind.

@evolz3737 You’re probably right but let’s not underestimate the Raiders stupidity.

Exhibit One: Tom Telesco.

@evolz3737 This year, it seems like it’s the experienced coaches (Vrable, Carrol, Rivera, Nagy, Smith, Flores) and the young offensive minds (Johnson, Slowic, Brian Griese – which was a surprise to me).  Don’t see a lot of young DCs getting interviews.

I think it’s going to be difficult for Minter this year, which is probably best for his long-term career as most of the teams looking for a coach are a dumpster fire.  Don’t think I would want the Jets or Saints jobs.  The Raiders are going to be horrible.  The Jags have some talent, but they come with a pre-existing GM (and not sure Lawrence is a top-10 QB).  I guess the Bears are the best opportunity (based on how you feel about Williams)?

Speaking of the Raiders, I read a mock that showed them trading up to #2 to draft Sanders.  I would love that.  Think of the circus in LV with Dion as HC and his son as QB.  I would enjoy watching that dumpster fire rage for 3-4 years.

Damn. Speaking of the Traitors, they just fired Telesco. I was hoping he’d survive the bloodletting a little longer.

Sounds like Brady wanted to clean house and convinced Davis to do it. Hopefully, Brady brings back his Patriot friends McDaniel or Patricia.

@unclejammsarmy Maybe he can get hired and fired by KC and Denver to? It would be the first time he swept anything in the AFC West.

@evolz3737 That’s funny.  Wish the Chiefs organization was that dysfunctional.

What’s amazing is that Telesco lasted over a decade with the Chargers, but the Raiders figured him out in less than a year.

Seriously doubt TT gets another TM gig.

@kevdiego your second paragraph is a microcosm of our collective PTSD as Chargers fans.

@unclejammsarmy

I just read that. Have to say I am both surprised (Raiders love dysfunction) and disappointed (we all love Raiders dysfunction). Maybe Telesco can land a gig sorting dirty laundry for the Jets. He’d likely screw that up, too.

@smith very disappointed. I was hoping he’d snag Pipkins once he’s cut.
