@arne-sixpakfrombelgium That’s awesome – you live in an era where you can get games internationally. My time in Taiwan (1999-2001), Germany (2003), Japan (2004) and India (2005) were pretty devoid of watching football. There were usually games on broadcast TV, but at weird times.

I’m been pretty wrapped up trying to get a client into a house… have their home in escrow and a couple weeks to find them a new house to buy – so I haven’t been able to be as active as I’d like :(. I’ll get a Live Thread going for the game, but will be looking at properties again Sunday afternoon, so I’ll likely be watching the game on delay.
I definitely hope to see everyone chatting it up on the game thread when I’m able to check my phone, but let’s keep up the chatter all weekend and week. Lots to be excited about

I wondered if the NFLRA warned the Chiefs about the illegal formation penalty and forgot to do the same for the Ravens. Four illegal formation penalties in just the first half alone is absurd. To beat a team like the Chiefs you have to play an almost mistake-free game by limiting penalties to a minimum. Stay disciplined as Jim Harbaugh would have this team ready to play every game.
@tui1hit Looking at how Jawaan Taylor lined up, they didn’t inform anyone. They just “forgot” to penalize the Chiefs – surprise surprise.
@tui1hit it’s so fucking unbelievable. It’s already hard enough to win against the chiefs because of their generational QB, a perfect coach for said QBs skillset, an awesome defense led by a mad scientist DC, and a lot of great additional pieces on offense. Giving that team seemingly every 50-50 call and calling only one team on the illegal formations is just plain bullshit.
It felt like the refs weren’t calling it evenly for sure. There were some holding that weren’t called and were some similar illegal formations by the Chiefs that weren’t called either. You would expect the refs to be biased towards the Chiefs all season long on close calls, just hope it won’t be too detrimental when we get to play them twice.
However, I like that they’re holding the guards and tackles to playing w/in the waist-line plane of the center. It’s a clear advantage for guards and tackles on passing situations to play a step behind the plane. The DL and Edges’ complaints have finally been heard. This will set apart good OT’s from pretenders. Glad we have Slater and Alt. They still need to do a better job on what is and not holding penalty.
