Jim Harbaugh will tell you each game is as important as the next, but although he won’t publicly admit it, you can bet there’s added emotional weight to this Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
The last time John and Jim faced off against each other on the gridiron was 2012, when Jim’s San Francisco 49ers lost to John’s Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl. Despite the consistent excellence of the Ravens organization, John hasn’t been to the Super Bowl since. His playoff record following their Super Bowl victory is 3-6.
Jim would only stay in the NFL for two more seasons following his loss to his brother, and continued a storied coaching career with the Michigan Wolverines. After nine successful seasons that culminated in a National Championship, Jim returned to the NFL as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, and now has a chance to grab some bragging rights just three days before the men will be sharing Thanksgiving dinner as a family.
Who’s got it better than Jim?
Below is the summary of the injury reports throughout the week.
Hayden Hurst and Denzel Perryman have been confirmed as “OUT,” with Bud Dupree, AJ Finley, Cam Hart, Deane Leonard, Khalil Mack, and Ladd McConkey listed as questionable.
The two most positive developments from this list are the fact that Khalil Mack didn’t take his usual vet rest day, signaling he ‘s likely trending in the right direction to play this week, and Cam Hart having a full practice participation on Saturday.
Although Khalil Mack is one of the most irreplaceable pieces on this roster, given the current state of the injuries across the roster Cam Hart’s availability might be the biggest piece of good news for this squad. Much like previous years where the wide receiver room could only withstand so many injuries before the offense became stagnant, the defense seemed to hit its workable threshold of secondary injuries when Cam Hart went down with his concussion last week.
What do you think, StormCloud? What are some of the matchups you are most looking forward to tomorrow?

They got Flowers and we got this fucking stiff
Flowers balling, Johnson dropping… FUCK YOU TOM TELESCO!!!
QJ 😂😂😂😂
These refs are super-flag happy. That hold was total BS.
They get 4th down conversions and we are throwing -7 yard passes
Alright – I was trying to do this game sober, but think I need to grab an adult beverage. This game is not helping my alcoholism
Haha – Yea, that’s not gonna help…
Why would they go for 2? Seems like a strange decision.
Why the fuck not? John is making every aggressive coaching decision possible and the Chargers have not made him pay for it.
Donโt gotta worry about Minter going anywhere unless he goes to an AFC South team where he can beat up in shit teams all season.ย
That was a TD. Fucking Gilman needs to take a better position.
Bosa playing a lot.
Who gives a shit about 3rd down. Every drive is 4 down territory.ย
I smell a fumble coming up
Again, I would just keep handing to Henry.
Unreal. Every drive is 4 downs.ย
No doubt they go and get it again
First and 20 they give up 15
Defense can’t get off the field. A turnover would be great.
I think they’re way better than last year, which is amazing progress in a year. If we’re lucky, they’ll be just shitty enough to get Minter back next year.
And they need to make them pay for all the aggressiveness on 4th down.
How the fuck do you get 30 yards on a 4th and inches? Fucking ridiculous
Everyone on the line. Ravens went quick count too, which caught the Chargers off guard.
Same as the last one. The Chargers were, incredibly, not ready for the snap.
Keep it close and then see if we can close in the end. Going to be tough if we remain one dimensional. But still right there for the taking.
Not sure why the flag-happy refs didn’t call roughing on the play where Humphry drove Herbert to the turf.
I know everyone thinks I’m crazy, but Reagor, a former 1st round pick, could be a player.
They took a chance on a lot of players this offseason. Can’t get too upset about missing on a few of them. Minimal “prove it” deals are fine. Ford, Tart, Dissly, etc – all been great. Missing on Chark not a big deal.
I agree. He can catch and he gets open.
ย Can we get a play with a moving pocket so Herbert doesnโt have a guy up his ass in 2 seconds?
Ugghh. Gonna have to be another God Mode game
Cโmon Justin. Letโs get it going.
Back on offense. Well, let’s see what the matchup looks like after halftime adjustments.
We did make some, right?
Fulton can’t catch. Noted.
Flowers should be a Charger receiver.
This defense is over rated
This looks like the Staley 3rd down defense
Palmer is feeling it tonight. Get him the ball in the second half. There are deep shots open down the field on this Ravens D. If JK is out then let Herbert throw it. OL so far has held up in pass pro.
Can we get a turnover? Seems like itโs been forever
That was a great drive.
Good to get points. D has to shore up against the pass. Monken will just keep bombing it.ย
OK, that’s a boost going into the locker room.
We’re gonna need a different look this second half. No coming out flat.
They can’t play the way they’ve been playing in the 2nd half. They need to win the game in this second half.
Holy shit, rare Herbert deep miss. Ouch
Fuck…..Dobbins beat up.
Dude was taking a shot every time he touched the ball. Vidal inactive….
Say what you want about Minters D but itโs not proving to stop good offenses. You can only play so many Bryce Youngโs and Spencer Rattlers. Looks like another Herbert God mode game
Well big bro just schooled little bro.
JFC Fulton! Turn around.
Fulton is getting abused
This D is starting to look shaky in pass coverage
Missing Hart. Fulton needs to get his head around.
Adjustments need to be made at halftime
PI…..ugh…..
That was holding, not PI.
Yes…..
Fawwwwwkkkkkk…..
WTF?
That was a huge momentum shift in the wrong direction. It didn’t look like he made it to me.
OK Tuli.
Well shit.
That was a huge momentum swing. Time for the offense to take advantage.
Another 3 at least would be nice.
Ok. Letโs get the 4 min offense going here. A few 1st downs and a score
