Good morning StormCloud!
The Chargers return from the bye week to take on the Denver Broncos in a divisional matchup in Colorado. The Chargers hoped to return from the bye with a clean bill of health, but a couple new faces popped up on the injury report.
Gus Edwards, Asante Samuel Jr, and Ja’Sir Taylor are all listed as “OUT” for the game, while Joey Bosa, Kristian Fulton, Deane Leonard, Nick Neimann, and Rashawn Slater are listed as “QUESTIONABLE” in the latest injury report. Joe Alt does not have an injury designation, so all eyes will be on how this offense can play with one or two of its premiere bookends back in the lineup.

I understand that playing with a lead can change the offensive mindset. I also believe in both staying with the hot hand and keeping your foot on the throttle (or the throat of your opponent). Roman did neither yesterday. I can’t agree with his second half mindset.
So Harbaugh has an atrial fibulation issue, apparently occasional episodes since 1999. That was the issue yesterday.
Of course glad for the win. Happy to see Herbie get to sling it more. Vidal is a bright spot. The defense continues to cook, even with a slew of injuries.
Second half offense is still concerning. And yes, I’m still looking right at you, Roman.
I’m calling 26-17 final score.
How?
Because when I said that it was 23-10. And I wasn’t far off.
Impressive first half! I will go to bed and watch the rest tomorrow. Nice talking to you all.
Good to see ya man. Sleep well.
Poona with the pass rush getting a holding call to negate the long completion!
I love the donkey heartache.
Love the fans booing!
Let’s go in 17 up.
will 20 do?
Math….duh. lol
20 up!
Great to see such a different offense. It seems more creative. The bye week must have done something good.
Good talking to all of you, Happy sunday. We are in the height of Fire season in Southern California and I have several projects I have to take care of to defend the house.
Great to see you in the live thread! I hope you’ll be free of any danger.
Stay safe man.
Time of possession is nuts – 18 min to 7
DEFENSE baby!!!
Turnoveeeeer
Mack with the strip and Tart with the pickup!
Big play defense!
Only 3 but ate up some clock.
A lot of clock
Oof….that was close!
Why the fuck is Matlock playing??
Yeah, he really shouldn’t run and endzone routes …
Still up 13-0! Is a good start. We are moving the ball and D is still balling
Pipkins back in too
PI, 1st and goal!
Really like the running plays to DD
Slater in at LT again
Vidal is motivated.
And Leonard questionable now… quick, find a jersey for the team janitor!
Herbert completing to everybody. Shades of PR.
Maybe his ankle is better than they were letting on.
Pretty clean pocket for most of the game too
Who is in at LT?
I think Salyer
Isn’t he in at RG instead of Pipkins?
You might be right, so many substitutions it is hard to keep up.
Agree! Why I asked. Was it Sarell maybe?
Yes, I could not think of his name. Sounds like Pipkins and Slater are back in on that last series.
Interesting to see Roman calling so many pass plays. At least Herbert is not running for his life.
This offense runs thru Herbert.
Slater gimpy. ๐ซค
Helmet on now
Oh holyyy effing frigg man.
Wow, Pipkins and Slater have been replaced.
At least Harbaugh looks like himself again. I grew up in Denver and I can’t tell you how many flatlander visitors would exert themselves like they were at home, and then get sick.
Bad chorizo.
I live at 6,000′ and this is so true.
LETS GO STILL!! ROOKIES BOLT UP
Damn nearly blocked that punt!!
Surtain out….concussion.
Huge loss for them.
Certainly. Passing game is feasting right now.
Hurst and Ja’sir the latest to get injured. Hurst going to the locker room.
If this injury rate keeps up we may have to go to 8-man by the 4th quarter
LETS GO VIDAL!
Picked him up for free in fantasy this week and had to start him. Cherry on top
They’re ya go Vidal!!!
Vidal!
Heck of a snag!
Great throw and grab!
Was that his first professional touch? Amazing
Sure was
What kind of illness can Harbaugh have when he could almost sprint to the locker room?
Maybe he needed to reach a toilet quickly.
Might be it – he looks like he’s in a good mood like usual
And came running back out – I have been there!
A bad burrito? I was worried it was more serious; he looked wobbly going to the medical tent.
This is the weirdest start to a game I can remember seeing in recent memory and I honestly wish Rice was active over at least one other player today. Leaning on Vidal today with Dobbins.
Ladd being evaluated for a concussion now.
ugh
Ladd is back
Sigh…..6 sure woulda been nice there. I believe I would’ve gone for it.
Jeez, at the rate we are going the training staff will finish the game with all of the players injured in the locker room. I hope that coach is okay.
Oh man I really hope coach is just having trouble acclimating to Denver altitude. Hope he’s just trying to galvanize the players. I also can’t be more grateful that Slater and Alt are out there.
QJ!!!!!
DEFENSE!!!!
After that abysmal showing by the Padres in games 4 and 5 and suffering that horrible Dodgers biased color commentary. I can’t help but be grateful we’re not listening to that dumbass Romo today. Thank goodness for that. Hope they get a crispy performance out of the gate today. GO BOLTS.
Good game day morning to you all, Fam. Let’s hope that we get a win in Denver today for the first time in forever. We have confidence in the defense for good reason. Nix can be had and has a pair of INTs over the last 2 games. He’s bound to take off running in this one. If Tuli can contain him, that offense could be stifled.
Our offense has to put better passing numbers up. It’s tough to live on an average of 136 passing yards per game. Especially when you know that you can’t drop 175-200 rushing yards every week. There’s a lot that goes into it, and that’s understood. But, it has to be better. End of story.
Go Bolts!!!
Gus Edwards to IR. Opportunity knocks for Vidal.
