Good morning StormCloud!
It’s another Sunday morning, which means another full slate of football for us all.
The Chargers will be hosting the New Orleans Saints at 4:05 ET. The Bolts have managed to stay at or above .500 all season, and after losing a very winnable game to the Arizona Cardinals, need to have an offensive renaissance to keep their record above water.
The Saints are a team likely headed to a rebuild this offseason. The coaching and management staff are fighting for the jobs each week they manage to stay with the Saints. They will come out hungry, and likely won’t be afraid to go for an all-or-nothing defensive game plan.
Be sure to check out Ryan Watkins’ excellent article on the schematic matchups in this game. We’ll post some relative updates today as they occur, but other than that… just keep doing what you do in the comment section!

Update: Jaylen Johnson and Jalen Reagor were activated to the game day roster
Jalen Reagor may get a shot a redemption today after a costly fumble last week. He and Jaylen Johnson have been activated from the practice squad to the game day roster. This likely foreshadows the availability of Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and Derius Davis for the game.
Since there is no NFL tape on Johnson, here is a highlight reel of his 2023 season. He shows some respectable speed, wiggle, and ability to make people miss after the catch.
Saints add one to active roster, two to game day roster from practice squad
The Saints signed Ugo Amadi to their active roster while activating Equanimeous St. Brown (brother and podcast co-host of Amon-Ra) and Roderic Teamer from the practice squad.
Damn it, how do you not go for 2 there?
Man, so frustrating. The defense is looking solid as per usual, but I think this is the first time all season we’ve struggled heavily in two phases – offense and special teams. Uhg.
Haven’t been following the Chargers very closely the last couple of weeks because I ran during a local election and somehow got elected.
This is the first game in 3 weeks I can watch live. It sure is not looking like good right now. Offensively this team looks absolutely brutal…

I am not entirely sure how to translate it in English but I will be one of the 4 council members that assists the mayor in governing our community(population of 8500 people). It’s still being discussed what policy areas I will be responsible for. Social services will be one of the though.
