The Chargers are facing the Dallas Cowboys in our final preseason matchup. Although preventing a winless preseason would be great, the main objectives today will be evaluating the competition for the final roster spots and even practice squad players, and getting out of the game as healthy as possible.
The preseason has ultimately been a lackluster start to the Jim Harbaugh era, almost entirely because of the abysmal quarterback play from the reserves. This could be Easton Stick’s last stand in the NFL, as another poor performance would almost guarantee Joe Hortiz hitting the post-cuts waiver wire for a replacement, one of which we’ve already identified and is starting to get major traffic as a player on the move. It’s worth wondering if Stick’s poor play would even be worthy of a practice squad spot, as the offense as been struggling to move the ball even in training camp practices.

Was that the exact kick that you want with the kickoff rules? Bounce right in front of the end zone and then into the end zone.
@arne-sixpakfrombelgium I don’t know these new rules to well, but it sure was nice to start on the 20 versus the 30.
That was a poor PI call against Leonard.
It looked like he grabbed the receivers shoulder a bit too much. These types of calls aren’t always very clear to me though
This is the first time I’ve watched them this season live. I get the impression that the defense is swarming to the ball more than they did under Staley.
Yeah it has been written here several times: it just looks like the defensive plan is clear for all the players and they just can play more instinctively. Great and refreshing to see to be honest

Second pass attempt was behind the receiver and allowed DB to knock it away.
