Well Bolt fans, your 2025 Los Angeles Chargers are back in the post season for consecutive seasons for the first time since 2008/2009. It has been a masterclass coaching performance from Jim Harbaugh and absolute brilliance and resolve from Justin Herbert this season to overcome all the injuries to foster this outcome. Advancing in the playoffs to go on a deep January run would be a dream, but I feel this roster, especially on the offensive line, if very matchup dependent. Styles make fights, and IMO, our success will be heavily determined on who our opponent is, because as we have seen, our OC has a tendency to stick with game plans that are not working or are poorly schemed to begin with.

These last few weeks of the season will go a long way of determining seeding and matchups, but damn it feels good to be back in the playoffs again. Some fans will say this season needs a playoff win to be successful, as will the Herbert doubters, but I do not agree with that. The playoffs have a tendency to expose your biggest weaknesses as we saw last year. The success in the playoffs will fall squarely on the coaching to mask or scheme around those flaws, but defense and run game travels so we should have a punchers chance against anyone.

But this is a day to celebrate because we haven’t seen this back to back playoff occurrence in almost 20 years. How are the rest of you feeling? Did you see this coming? Were there doubts along the way? What are your playoff predictions? Who would you prefer to see in the first playoff game? Let’s get some playoff chatter going!!!

Ok, a couple of thoughts:

* Remember when we all thought ten wins would be playoffs? Nope. But the Chargers are at eleven with two to go.

* Remember when we thought the Chiefs were the team to beat? Done. Twice. But damn Denver.

* Remember when we had the two best tackles in the league? Well, Joe Hortiz called me yesterday to see if I’m available.

* Remember when we thought this was a team playing for a deep playoff run? I do, too. And, despite all evidence to the contrary, here they are.

This has been a complex and interesting season. The defense has been outstanding and the offense has a ton of great individual players with a bottom-level line. No way this team gets to twelve or thirteen wins, right? Count me in as a Harbaugh believer. And thank the heavens above that Miami drafted Tua.
