<p><span>I have been a Chargers fan since the early 1990's. Fun fact about myself: I grew up in Oceanside, California and attended Oceanside High where Junior Seau went to High School as well. I graduated in 1997 and Junior in 1987. Junior was drafted by the Chargers in 1990, but I didn't start following the team religiously until 1992. Anyhow, Junior would often come by the school and speak during special pep rally events and, he had a house several blocks away from the school down at the end of the strand/strip not too far from the Oceaside pier, so it wasn't inconvenient for him to stop in every now and then. During the summer months, some of us that played football for O'side High would go down and surf in front and/or near his house and we would often see him waving at us from his balcony, especially once he would recognize that most of the O'side football team would be down there by the water. He loved to be around the kids and he was a great person on and off the field! I had really good fond memories of one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history.</span></p>
