The Bolts roll into Week 7 looking to turn momentum into a streak after last week’s storm-soaked win in Miami. Greg Roman’s quick game found rhythm, Justin Herbert looked decisive again, and the defense showed flashes of progress — but Jesse Minter’s group still needs to clamp down on the run as they face a Colts offense built around Jonathan Taylor and rising tight end Tyler Warren.

This week’s matchup feels like a test of toughness and adjustment. Can the Chargers keep the offense balanced, protect Herbert against Lou Anarumo’s creative fronts, and plug those backside run fits that have been haunting them? With Denzel Perryman back and Khalil Mack healthy, there’s no better time to find out.

Kick back, grab your storm gear, and sound off below — it’s game day. Let’s hear your bold predictions, score calls, and who you think steps up big against Indy.

So what kind of trade value does Khalil Mack have?

Honest question because at this point we may consider selling a few older assets with the needs on the team.

I believe that the return for Khalil would be higher than any potential Comp Pick for him. Seattle sounds like a Buyer and the Mike McDonald Scheme is the same thing but with much better personnel.

I don’t think trading Mack is practical. Mack signed a one year contract to play with this team. No way he would bless a trade, doubtful a team would pay much for him and don’t think trading away a clubhouse leader sends the right message.

He will never generate a comp pick as he’s going to either play for the Chargers next year or retire.

I think having an earnest discussion with Khalil about places he might like to play for would be something he would understand.

A 3rd would be a Yes but even a 4th right now seems appealing with the needs of the team.

Assuming they lose, this team will still be 4-3 and in first place, with their Alt & Pipkins returning.

They do need to figure out their defense as they haven’t stopped a thing for the last few weeks.

Its not about passing on him as it is sending him to a place he could win when the team clearly isn’t going to.

If anyone watching this game doesn’t see the difference in offensive schemes, they’re an idiot. Even with Alt and Slater, the offense never looked as explosive as Indy. Hell, every team we have played routinely schemes plays where guys are running wide open in space. Every play Herbert throws our WR has a guy draped all over him.

That’s fair. The NFL has figured out Minter a bit. He needs to counter-punch.

And Roman was a bad hire. I know he’s Jim’s buddy, but he’s not the coach to win with in the modern NFL.

Exactly. Jim’s buddy who is covering his ass but preaches accountability. Next man up. Blowing smoke up Herbert’s ass while overseeing his dismantling. Harbaugh should wear Tea Party patches on his shirts.

Yeah, I fucking said it. The NFL has left this tired trope behind. Last year was a mirage that filled my “half empty” glass. It ain’t working this year.

Winner my ass. Prove me wrong, Harbaugh. Please make me eat my words.

Sad to say, but this team is never winning anything with these coordinators. Minter is just a younger Gus Bradley that plays pussy zone with no pass rush and Roman’s scheme is not built for the 2025 NFL.

Not joking at all, but my local 7-11 stocks Firestone’s Union Jack for me and a couple of other guys. It’s not on their master list, and they have to ring it in using some secret code, but they’re good like that.

In reality this team beat the Chiefs which was a good win, a horrendous LV team and needed Herbert to pull out a miracle to beat Den. Their other win was a last min FG against a putrid MIA team. They aren’t on the same level as the better teams in the league. At this point they’re probably not a playoff team.

Just dropping in to offer my “you’d prefer your glass half empty” take.

This is a disciplined, next man up, smashmouth Jim Harbaugh roster?

Laugh. My. Fucking. Ass. Off.

Mack with one good arm is outplaying most of this team. Good thing injuries are providing cover for this impostor who brought his buddy Greg Roman in to shit on Herbert’s career.

Eli was right. Fuck the Spanii.Them owning an NFL team is like the Annandale School for the Blind manning an elite sniper team.

I wanna believe as much as anyone, dude. I’ve been agonizing and celebrating with this team since 1992 so when someone who knows FUCKALL about me says I like my glass half empty? Yeah, its goddamned personal.

Roman is a lead albatross and Harbaugh is covering for his ass. Let’s start there.

‘81 Epic in Miami for me when I loved baseball over all things. So, yeah, glass half empty? Fuck that. I was at the Murph when they came home from Pittsburgh in January 1995. And if anyone is “half-full,” I’m ok with that, but those of us who have been around, well, we’ve been around. Show me your scars, I’ll show you mine.

Game predictions:
Taylor is going to run and run and run.
Herbert is going to run and run and run for his life.
Will it be enough? Maybe.
If the Chargers don’t shoot themselves in the foot with missed tackles, penalties, or other bonehead plays, and if the Chargers can get a turnover or two, and if the Chargers can force a few punts, and if Roman can help Herbert get the ball out of his hands in 1.5, then they’ll be in the game. If any of these don’t happen, then we tip our hats to our old friend Shane Steichen and call it a day.

All that said, I’ve got my faith and a six pack of Union Jack. This will be a revealing week as to who the 2025 Chargers are. Game blacked out in my area so I’ll be listening to Money and DJ and doing laundry. Cuz I’m hard core like that.

Bolt Up, one and all!!!!!!
