We’ve just released Episode 160 of the Thunder Down Under Chargers Podcast
Our synopsis is below:
#BoltUp! A catastrophic fourth-quarter collapse leaves the Chargers sitting at an agonising 0-5. Up 17-10 heading into the final frame, Jim Harbaugh’s aggressive—and reckless—4th & 1 gamble in Chargers territory failed, flipping game momentum, handing Denver a short field, and triggering a total operational meltdown. Per Pro Football Reference, this marks the Chargers’ first 0-5 start to a season since 2003. Today on Thunder Down Under Chargers, we channel the rage, break down the coaching negligence, and ask if there is anything left to play for this season.
What we cover today: 🐴 Broncos Recap & The 4th Quarter Collapse: How a promising 17-10 lead unravelled into a 23-17 loss, Kimani Vidal’s electrifying 42-yard house call, Hayden Rucci’s first career TD, and the sequence of fourth-quarter turnovers and sacks that sealed LA’s fate. 🤦♂️ Harbaugh Under the Microscope: Dissecting the controversial 4th & 1 call in our own territory that completely turned the tide, and questioning the game management of this coaching staff. 📊 Historical Reality Check: Looking back at the 2003 season—the last time the franchise started 0-5—and analysing the stat sheet, roster damage, and the grim reality facing the Bolts ahead of the Chiefs game and the bye week. 🎓 #TeachableMoment: Jack takes to the whiteboard for his weekly #TeachableMoment!
