Good afternoon StormCloud!
The Chargers are hosting the Buccaneers at SoFi Stadium today as they continue to right for their bid into the postseason.
The Bucs have had an up-and-down season thus far, anchored to Baker’s inconsistent play and injury-ravaged offense. With Mike Evans healthy again, they have a number of threats on the offensive side of the ball that will keep Jesse Minter’s defense honest, but the bigger concern for the Chargers is the extent of their own injury woes.
The offense has been sputtering a bit for the Chargers with J.K. Dobbins out of the lineup and Ladd McConkey fighting through multiple injuries. Making matters worse. Justin Herbert’s lower body has had multiple injuries compiled onto the ailments he had worked through earlier in the season, putting his mobility and burst in question heading into this game.
The biggest blessing Los Angeles can hope for is a break-out performance from any wide receiver on the roster outside of Ladd McConkey. Ladd has been fed heavy volume over the last few weeks because of his ability to beat coverage and gain separation, something we haven’t seen from any of his peers outside of broken coverages and schemed wins. Whether it’s Quentin Johnston getting some underneath volume and winning with some YAC, Joshua Palmer resembling the WR2 we thought he could develop into, or even Derius Davis getting some extra usage – growth from this growth would be incredibly encouraging for a post season run.
Looking at the lastest injury report, Will Dissly and Jalen Reagor are confirmed “OUT’s” and Denzel Perryman and Ladd McConkey are listed as “Questionable” and likely are game-time decisions.
Sound off in the comments, StormCloud… how are you feeling about this game?!

Busting my butt to get things done today so the decks are cleared for tonightโs donkey show. Everybody on board?
8:15 pm kickoff for you. Iโm certain thereโs something in the Geneva Conventions about this.

Ass thoroughly whupped….no other way to view it.

I can’t understand how this team can possibly be favored by 3 over Denver.
A loss to them after the past 2 weeks will put a nail in Roman’s coffin for me. Unfortunately Harbaugh won’t see it that way.
…
Meanwhile Denver has come back and will likely win that game.
Crazy Pick 6 for them; Nick Bonito read a double pass back to Anthony Richardson.
Ugh, this is ugly, not to mention stupid to put #10 back in.
Third game in a row, 17 and out. Maybe that was what they were trying to avoid bu putting him back in.
All right. I hope you know I think youโre all bosses. But I gotta cut my losses now. Until midweek.
Poetry. Later dude
Everything went sideways when Harbaugh punted from the 41 yard line. He needs to be more aggressive, especially in games where the defense didn’t show up
Like Staley did!
[sarcasm font]
I agree 100%. I was pissed at the time.
OK, ODU magic….Heinecke and Smartt.
Three TDs in 7 minutes? Here we go.
If Justin comes back into this game i will personally choke the shit out of GR.
Don’t think it’s Roman’s call.
Get your hands behind mine.
This is embarrassing
Dang. I thought this one would be close. Like, last second field goal close. I didnโt expect the woodshed, but woodshed we got.
Mike Evans….stone cold killa.
Bucs now over 400 yards offense. Chargers less than half that.
Just keep Justin clean the rest of the game at this point since the Thursday game vs the Broncos is now more important.
From your lips….
Time for a Heinecke
You’re making me very sad dude.
I hear ya. Just holding on to denial.
We barely exceeded that today, so far.
Surtain may not even play in this game since he got injured at the end of their game.
Iโve had to do some stuff in the 2nd half but have had the game in my ear. Not sure I could have added much here. This sucks.
Another Greg Roman second half master class
Well this is a sticky wicket. Anybody know when the last time the Chargers won after being down 2TDs in the 4th?
In about 17 mins?
Works for me.
I predicted a long day for Fulton and I hate being right about it.
I feel like Hart is a better matchup against Evans, but with him out with a concussion, it really impacts the game
I hope they’re watching.
Yeah one-on-one with Evans is a tough ask though in that situation.
Shit. We’re playing 30-minute games. Score 17 and call it a day.
Brutal
But accurate, no?
FAWWWWKKKKKK!!!!
Ya know….I ain’t mad at Tart for that.
Thank goodness
It’s that stupid sports-clip cut, lol
Yup.
Goddamit. 355 attempts without an INT, about to pass Brady all-time, and now it’s gone.
Limited the bleeding. Offense has to come to life.
Just need to answer back here! Let’s get a tuddy.
Been helping with the baby girl. When I’ve been able to glance over it’s looked like Herbert’s a little off, is that the case?
Not so much
cmon D
ahhh crap
Alright….stop em right here.
And that’s the game, folks
We’ll see. Still plenty of game
IF they can hold it to a FG
The monemtum has completely shifted to TB, and Herbert is getting beat to hell.
One more TD and it’s unlikely the Chargers can win it. Defense has got to step up right here. This defensive series is critical.
Dude…..ugh
ugh
DO NOT throw the ball to QJ on 3rd down.
Good pickup
Gotta answer with 7.
We have half the total yards as the Bucs. This ain’t working.
Well shit…..
Poona gets re-signed.
Ugh…Derwin….
It may be up to the D again.
Then we’re in trouble.
Not an auspicious beginning
