Smith has the alignment versatility to line up in two high, single high or in the box, but he is best suited as a two or single high Free Safety. He is a very inconsistent tackler often taking bad angles with bad technique which is why I wouldn’t trust him in the box, but he is fantastic in zone coverage on the back end and has a nose to find the football. He excels at using his length to contest passes at the catch point.
