Hey there StormCloud! We’re happy to announce we have another addition to our Podcast Community, Chargers Talk 4630.
Chargers Talk 4630 was started by Stacey Mallory last year, a Chargers fan since 1978 based out of New Jersey. Given that New Jersey isn’t a hotbed for Chargers fandom, Stacey took to social media and podcasts to interact with Charger fans worldwide to share his love for our favorite football team.
After podcasting solo for his first season, Stacey met Garrett Elsasser and thought he’d be a perfect fit as a co-host, and the two have hit it off since. Garrett grew up in Southern California but has been in Jacksonville, Florida since 2008… but has stayed a diehard Bolt fan. You can get more on their backgrounds by checking out their landing page in our Podcast section.
Stacey and Garrett LiveStream every week, but to help you get introduced to Chargers Talk 4630, here’s a video and a written component by Stacey on how excited he was for the Jim Harbaugh signing around the time that it happened.
Be sure to catch Stacey and Garrett’s work on Chargers Talk 4630, and welcome them to the StormCloud community! Stacey’s created an account on our page, Chargerman463, and can also be found on Twitter/X @RetiredN26997. Garrett Elsasser can be found on Twitter/X @gman7887, and be on the lookout for his introduction when he joins up as well!
THE STAGE IS SET FOR JIM HARBAUGH WHO
HAS UNFINISHED BUSINESS IN THE NFL – Stacey Mallory
Jim Harbaugh has won everywhere throughout his illustrious coaching career, but there’s one thing he has yet to accomplish, and that is winning a Super Bowl trophy in the National Football League. Jim Harbaugh came within 7 yards of taking the lead against the Ravens in a great showdown between him and his older brother John Harbaugh. It was a great Super Bowl as it came down to the final seconds.
Former NFL quarterback Jim Harbaugh is known for having an immediate impact after taking over as head coach of four different teams. Now in the 2024 season, he has another opportunity to take over a 5th team in the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers have something Jim has never had in his coaching career and that’s one of the most talented and gifted QB’s in the league. Many people around the league believe that Jim Harbaugh has one of the best football minds in the game, and it’s hard to argue that point as he’s delivered at every stop in his coaching journey. The Chargers, dating back to the early 70’s with Dan Fouts and followed by Drew Brees, Philip Rivers and now Justin Herbert, have rarely had problems putting points on the board but never seemed to be strong in the other two phases of the game. The Spanos family deserves more credit than is being given for putting their ego aside and realizing something needed to change if they wanted different results than the past. They are in one of the top markets in the country, and they now have a top coach – and expectations – to match.
The Chargers always seem to have a roster strong enough to be in the tournament but constantly find new ways to lose and have long felt like a cursed team. Jim Harbaugh is now in the building, and going off his track record we believe this team is poised to go on a deep playoff run. Jim Harbaugh’s style to win in the trenches, stop the run and have a successful run game still works in today’s NFL, and that has fans excited. There’s a buzz going around from Charger fans who feel like with a great head coach, having some key pieces still on the defensive side of the ball, and a strong draft that this team – if they can stay healthy – will at least put themselves in position to get a wild card seed this season. This team not only looks different but it feels different. Fans should be believing and staying optimistic this season because Jim Harbaugh’s history and Jim Hortiz’s 26 years of experience working and being tutored by Ozzie Newsome and Eric DeCosta with the Ravens organization says you should. Their track records say you should, so why not buy-in when every other way the Chargers have tried has failed? Fans were always hoping in the past, but with a new regime with the history, success, and track record they bring, now it’s time for you to believe, support and embrace this team.
This just looks and feels right this time.

Thank you Kyle. I can’t thank you enough for bringing us onboard. It’s in my DNA to work hard and put every ounce of me into everything I do. It’s all I know. I’m excited about meeting the Charger community here, and definitely look forward to engaging with you all. Me and Garrett will work diligently around the clock to bring you our best when it comes to presenting Content about the team we all love. Bolt Up!
Hey guys – I came across Stacey and Garrett’s pod as we were just starting the website, and Ryan and I immediately thought they’d be a great fit at StormCloud. I waited to reach out to Stacey until I felt like we had something to present him, and already knew Garrett through Twitter – who is a great dude and community member.
Please give these guys a warm welcome as we get them on-boarded!
Welcome to the community
