Thoughts? Seems like the same way the Chargers play the Seahawks every year. With an offensive fury unknown to mankind!
I was unable to watch. Celebrating my Mom’s 82nd Bday. Not a lot of offense and barely 20-minutes of possession time, under 200-yards, 9-first downs, 3-points ( on a 58-yard FG)!
Well, the game puts a fork in Easton Stick. He has shown that he is not a quality backup. Many regulars didn't play, but still. ,]. . .
No joke, dude. That was all very familiar. Even JH seemed a bit bewildered I thought. I know it just one preseason game, but the depth of this team doesn't seem NFL quality. Again.
the offense looked worse than I was hoping for without JH. Perez looked the best out of all back up QBs. one bright side, at least I saw a lot of hustle and effort (as opposed to Staley preseason games where backups didn't even seem to play to win a job somewhere).
Thoughts?
Stick stinks.
Keep Calm folks we all know Stick isn't capable of leading the team to multiple victories. We also know the terrible drafts over the past several years has left the depth in a terrible spot. If Justin is fine the team is capable of winning my guess 8 or 9 games but as guys get injured the depth will again be an issue. Telesco should have been shown the door much sooner. It will take a few years to build the team back up. Let's hope Zion can take a step up in his play to me he is a key in addition to stability at Center. The D looked aggressive and ready to go. The O with limited WR's and RB and a poor QB looked horrid but think of this season as one where some of the young guys get to play and grow into NFL talent, sadly Tom Telesco had no clue on building a team especially the importance of depth.
Stick is not the answer and Duggan's limp noodle arm never was.
The Chargers waived two players today, QB Casey Bauman and WR Praise Olatoke. Nobody signed at this point to fill the two spots. QB room is now Herbert, Stick, Duggan, and Perez.
Perez has the disadvantage of only being into the playbook for less than a week. With that said, he seems to have some decent arm talent. I would think that it would be a battle for a spot on the practice squad between him and Duggan.
Chargers signed a rookie WR, Isaiah Wooden. He played at Southern Utah and put up some solid numbers during the past two seasons including 14-TDs last year. His 40-time was 4.35 with a 1.38 10-yard split. 44.5'' Vertical, 10'5" Broad Jump. RAS of 7.42. He really got dinged on his size as he is 5'7" and 176lbs.
