I'll start with a big one....are the current offensive production issues more a problem of lack of talent or inability to adjust scheme to skill sets?
Mailbag question. Do you feel that the hiring of Harbaugh has or can be a franchise altering decision that finally give the team a permanent identity like the Ravens or Steelers or 49ers, and can it change the way the ownership operates going forward to realize you need to spend $ on quality, experienced coaches and staffs to be successful. We know in the past the Spanos family has preferred the less expensive first time HC/GM route.
Congrats on 100 episodes. It is truly a great accomplishment. Each episode gets better, and it actually improves and has become an important piece of my fandom of the team, and I always look forward to the next episode. Here's to 100 more!!! Cheers Mates!!!
100 episodes? Wow - congrats! A few questions:
- Predictions for the remainder of the season? I see at least 3 more wins on the schedule, putting them at (at least) 11-6
- After looking better early in the season, QJ seems lost. What can Roman, Trestman and Sanjay do to get Johnson back to being a somewhat productive receiver? What do you do with him at the end of the season? At this point, he looks like a bigger version of Darius Davis. You cannot have 2 WRs on your team that can't play WR. I will also say that QJs body language on the sidelines was not great last week.
- What one move can the Chargers make right now to improve their team? A few of my ideas:
- Can Trestman get more involved in designing the passing concepts?
- Move Salyer to RG
- At what point do you rest McConkey?
- Who should be the starting RB & how many carries should they have per game
- Who do you most & least want to see in the playoffs? I do not think the Chargers match up well with the Ravens and Steelers, so that is my least-favorite matchup. I think the Texans, Denver (or Colts if they make it) would be an easier game.
