The Los Angeles Chargers are back in the playoffs in their first year under Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz's leadership!
Ryan Watkins has done an amazing job breaking down the scouting reports on both sides of the ball this week. In case you missed it, here is his in-depth look at how the Bolts' offense will fare against the Texan's defense, and how Jesse Minter's defense can gain an edge against Houston's offense.
In the final injury report, we learned that Joshua Palmer will be OUT for the Bolts (and later saw Ja'Sir Taylor moved to the IR), and Shaq Mason OUT for the Texans. A handful of other players on each side had some "Questionable" tags, but no "Doubtfuls."
This has been one heck of a season with all of you, and I'm excited to be tuned in to catch this playoff game with you all. Let's get excited and enjoy some Chargers playoff football!
Hey hey, thank you Kyle! I just cracked a beer....we actually have SNOW here in southeastern VA so another reason to celebrate. 🙂
I predict some heartstopping brain fart moments for the Chargers balanced by ecstatic joy. You know, a Chargers game but with the feeling we're gonna win. Still pretty foreign but I sure like it.
Bolts prevail and that's the most I'll predict. Yes, I'm mildly superstitious.
Let's do this. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Super excited. About to head to the store to pick up provisions. Butt will meet couch around noon PST and stay there for the duration—unless, of course, I have to jump out of my seat.
I’ll be watching Tart and Ford early. If they can plug running lanes and get Stroud off schedule, I like the Chargers’ chances.
I'm excited to see what happens, parttly because this is exactly the kind of game the pre-Harbaugh Chargers would lose in disappointing fashion by coming out flat and unready to play.
I'm pretty confident we won't see that today. Here's hoping.
Who's got it better than us???!!!
Inactive report includes:
Gus Edwards (bad)
Denzel Perryman (very bad)
Rashawn Slater (very, very, very bad)
First radio update: Justin Herbert deputized Ben Herbert to keep media away from his pre-game speech. Could you imagine being some poor dude with a microphone running afoul of Ben Herbert?
God damn I am so nervous for this game. I so badly want a good game and a win for Herbert. I feel like he deserves it so much. Time for everybody to put some respect on his name.
Ball first. Let’s gooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Zion with a big block on the first down run.
Great catch by Ladd.
