A place for my favorite Chargers beat writer.
Thanks for sharing this Buck. Daniel Popper is a stud. Professional, knowledgeable, and fair in his reporting. I love when teams pay special attention to the men/women/families of our armed forces.
Short but exciting film breakdown of our 2 new RB's. I'm excited about these guys, particularly if Dobbins can return to his 2022, pre-injury form. And Edwards will add a grinding component to wear down the opposition that this team hasn't possessed in....well, it seems forever.
If Dobbins comes back healthy, we're due for a pretty insane rushing attack. If he doesn't, I actually think Vidal will stand out sooner rather than later.
Baltimore's running back depth has always been incredibly impressive.... guys go down but the offense keeps chugging. The offensive line is a huge contributor, and the scheme, but they also deserve some credit for identifying talent. Keaton Mitchell stood out last year - undrafted free agent that for a while had the highest elusiveness rating in the league, despite being undrafted.
Talking TE's. No mention of Parham (or Smartt). Is Parham's time in bolts running out?
What the heck is going on with Bozeman??
Looks like Herbert practiced today, according to Popper. The boot is off, & there’s videos showing he’s running today too. Definitely good news.
For a few weeks I was leaning more towards figuring out a solution internally for their QB2 situation. But after seeing the second preseason game, that is not a viable solution anymore. A few others have mentioned Tyler Huntley. I think he makes perfect sense from a cost perspective & familiarity with Greg Roman’s system. I’m not into breaking the bank for a backup. But it is important to have a contingency plan in place in case if Herbert misses a few games. Stick is not the answer. Perez may be eventually but not yet.
